Our happenings - April
Hello hello and welcome to our second newsletter! Hopefully we'll shine a light on some fairly interesting stuff. It's certainly been interesting to us. We've got a new public entry competition to tell you about, some sneak peeks of the work we're doing for the Design Museum, a sale for you to make the most of and some photos from the exhibition we're currently featured in London for Universal Music and the Teenage Cancer Trust.
We invite you to join in with our Tee Party! The competition is open to anyone willing to take up the challenge; Illustrators, Photographers, Graphic Designers etc etc. You can find the brief and further information by clicking the image above. Make sure you get your entries in before 1st May.
Checkout our T-shirt club if you haven't already. We take out the hassle of finding something decent to wear. We've got 12 different Illustrators signed up to provide you with a slice of gold each month. If you like the work we're already upto, then you're bound to love this. You can find a portfolio of the artists involved HERE
(incase you need anymore convicing) :D The club is £15 a month, and you get a tee for each one you're signed up for. That fee includes postage, and if you sign up for a longer period of time you get some cheeky extras. Below is last month's tee by Jamie Mills, and below it is next months, by Miguel Mansur.
Our last competition asked people to come up with designs for a range of notebooks we wanted to produce. We picked 8 winners, and combined those with work from our contributors. You can check out the range we ended up producing in this months issue of Computer Arts Magazine
, or by clicking any of the images below!
Many of our contributors have work in the Secret 7" Exhibition at the Idea Generation Gallery. The event was put together by Universal Music to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust with all 7" vinyl sleeves being auctioned off. We had to choose from a list of songs from artists like Florence + the Machine, the Cure, Bombay Bicycle Club, Noah and the Whale, Ben Howard and illustrate the sleeve accordingly. Jamie Mitchell's design for Florence + the Machine also won through the public side of the competition.
What else have we been upto recently? We've been increasing the number of stockists we're working with. You can now find our work in: Magma Books, London Graphic Centre, The Millennium Gallery, Western Park Museum, The Institute of Contemporary Art, Maiden and soon the Design Museum. Check out a sneak peek of what we've recently completed for them below - Some concertina cards for the summer, they include little packets of seeds.
Well we hope that's been entertaining. We've got lots more coming up soon, including many brilliant new products, and exciting projects. You can now get 20% off on a wide selection of items on our website, we're still young, so would really appreciate your support.
